“Go Far” is more than a catchy travel slogan or a wordplay on “Fargo” with the syllables switched around. It’s also the name of the rewards program offered by several Wells Fargo credit cards. If you have one of the eligible cards, you can earn points, redeem them for options like cash back, travel and gift cards. You can also share those points with other Wells Fargo cardholders.

Value of Wells Fargo Go Far Rewards points
In most cases, you can expect each Go Far point to be worth 1 cent. There are a variety of redemption options, including:
Travel. You can book travel through the Wells Fargo Go Far website. If you’re using your points toward an airline ticket, with most cards, each point is worth 1 cent. However, if you have the Wells Fargo Visa Signature® Card, each point is worth 1.5 cents toward airfare. This means 20,000 points would cover a $300 ticket, for example.
Cash back. You can get cash back as a deposit or credit to a qualifying redemption account, as a paper check, or via a Wells Fargo ATM. If you request cash back by the phone or online, you can redeem in increments of 2,500 points — or $25. If you use an ATM, you must have a Wells Fargo debit card or ATM card, and you can redeem in increments of 2,000 points (or $20). At this rate, each point is worth 1 cent.
What kinds of accounts can you put your points toward? Examples include adding to your savings account, paying down a Wells Fargo mortgage or Wells Fargo loans.
Gift cards. You can redeem points for gift cards from stores and brands such as Target, Google Play, the Apple App Store and Airbnb. Minimum redemption amounts vary, but you can generally expect requirements of at least 2,500 points, with each point being worth 1 cent.
Merchandise. You can use points to shop online via the Go Far website for items including school supplies, electronics and more.
Sharing rewards points
The Wells Fargo Go Far Rewards ecosystem is unique in that it allows you to easily share your rewards points. You can put them toward another Wells Fargo member’s eligible account as a statement credit, or you can contribute to a share points pool. For instance, if you’re planning a family reunion, multiple family members can add their Go Far points to the pool.
Plus, if you want to let someone else redeem your rewards, you can add an authorized redeemer — as long as that person is a Wells Fargo customer. Your authorized redeemer will be able to redeem rewards by calling Wells Fargo customer service. (It should be noted that authorized users on your card are not automatically able to redeem rewards — they must be added as authorized redeemers to be able to do so.)
The bottom line
For those who are keeping a significant portion of their financial products with Wells Fargo, the Wells Fargo Go Far Rewards program offers a solid value. That’s especially true if family and friends are also Wells Fargo members, and you can take advantage of rewards sharing. However, one downfall of the Go Far program is that you can’t transfer points to airline frequent flyer miles. Travel cards offered by Chase and American Express, for example, do let you do this — and if you’re loyal to a particular airline, you might want the option.
If you have multiple cards that earn Go Far points, they can be combined into a single rewards account. For example, if you have both the and the Wells Fargo Visa Signature® Card, you can use the former to get a higher rewards rate on purchases in categories such as fuel and eating out, and the latter to book air travel at a higher redemption value through the Go Far portal.
